EWW Program Overview

Computer Skills/Training and Testing
Utilizing QWIZ, a computer training and testing program, with the assistance of an instructor, students become computer literate. They are taught how to use the Internet to search for jobs and gain a basic working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suites. This includes Word, Power Point, Access, and Excel.

Interview Skills/Resume Preparation
Training takes place in both an individual and a group environment. Students participate in mock interviews and role-playing. Students receive feedback, advice and tips from experts in corporate business.

Dress for Success
Wardrobe planning is a key component to “dress for success”. They are given free office attire and are taught how to dress appropriately for the work environment.

Customer Service Skills
The goal of this class is to teach telephone skills, sensitivity to the customer’s needs and promptly taking necessary actions to satisfy the customer’s concern.

Family Leadership
This section encompasses parenting, nutrition, family health and wellness, leadership, spiritual & personal goals planning, time management, and budgeting that will enhance participants’ personal, social, economic and spiritual growth.

Health, Wellness & Fitness
To support a screening program that will identify chronic disease risk factors and use those results to develop a program to treat, alter, and decrease these risk factors through professional health care and recommended changes in life styles.
Job Placement At least 8 out of every 10 students that graduate are employed by area businesses.

Follow-Up Support Process
Follow-up is a critical factor as the students transition into the workforce. Support is an ongoing process: Counseling session, assessment reports, review individual job performance, enhance and develop new skills and habits for an effective, productive, and
self-sufficient lifestyle.
